Introduction
Located on the edge of Highway SPV 052 – Antonio Farinasso, Km 03, in the Aguinha neighborhood, in the municipality of Quatá, State of São Paulo (Brazil), Estância Estrela da Manhã has 2 alqueires of land, where a variety of fruits are grown, such as lemons at the marketing stage, and apples, peaches, gabiroba, bananas and papayas at the growing stage, and therefore not yet available for sale.
Highlight
The coconut palms planted – about 12 trees with effective productivity – yield fruit that is consumed while still green (green coconut), from which the so-called coconut water is extracted, a highly nutritious food rich in vitamins and minerals such as sodium and potassium (in larger amounts), and calcium, magnesium, manganese, iron, zinc and copper. There is also an experimental planting of a pupunha palm, from which heart of palm has already been extracted for consumption by the owners and their relatives.
Differentiator
Recently the producer started planting lemons of the rosa, Tahiti, Sicilian and galego varieties, all still in formation and some at the flowering stage, the last three obtained through grafting.
Information
Being a small property, the farmer does not seek to invest in livestock or the raising of other animals; however, on his estate he has a horse, some beef cattle (approximately 6) and chickens that are raised out on the land, that is, in an unconfined manner.
