About CoDAF

The Digital Skills for Family Farming (CoDAF) Project is a UNESP/Tupã project that aims to provide alternatives to minimize the factors that hinder family farmers' access to information, such as low familiarity with digital technologies and a scarcity of information systems specific to this audience.

To this end, the CoDAF Project works on developing preparatory courses and workshops aimed at building technical and informational skills, increasing these farmers' competitiveness with regard to access to information about the sector and the market, and to publicizing their practices, crops and competitive strengths.

To do so, through a centralizing element – the CoDAF Portal http://codaf.tupa.unesp.br/– the courses and activities developed by the Project are publicized, along with the dissemination of information and content important to family farmers, such as information on government support programs, the advantages of family farming and its main characteristics.

The portal also makes it possible to present information from the producers themselves, such as data about their property and the characteristics of their products, providing an area on the website specially for this purpose. In this way, besides offering products, farmers will be able to publicize good practices and social and environmental responsibility applied on their properties.
