The Pronaf Eligibility Declaration, or DAP as it is better known, recognizes family farmers as eligible to take part in the National Program for Strengthening Family Farming – PRONAF, which offers some advantages to family farmers, one of which is obtaining rural credit.
Besides family farmers, other people can benefit from the DAP, such as artisanal fishers, extractivists, forestry workers, quilombolas and Indigenous people, among others, each with their own specific requirements to be a beneficiary. To receive the benefit, producers must live on the property or near it, falling within the limit of 4 fiscal modules of their region.
To obtain the DAP, the family farmer must go to an entity accredited by the Ministry of Agrarian Development, bringing documents such as the CPF and other information about the family establishment (area, number of resident persons, composition of the workforce and income, and full address).
