CoDAF Project contributes to the use and interpretation of IBGE data

The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) is a federal public administration agency that generates, organizes and provides statistical data and information of a socioeconomic, demographic, geographic, scientific, cartographic and environmental nature, among others.

The CoDAF portal is making these statistical data and information available to the community at large, addressing specific topics in the field of agriculture, with the aim of making the IBGE portal easier to read and familiarizing readers with the description of the data and information available.

The data source called “Systematic Survey of Agricultural Production” has been made available. The source contains data that compare estimates both from two months before the current date and from the 2015 harvest, compared with 2016. The estimates correspond to the production of fruits, cereals, legumes and oilseeds. Each item in the report is presented with the values of cultivated areas, quantities produced and the variations for each product.
