Introduction
A small property of 7 alqueires, Sítio Mario takes its name from its owner, Mr. Mario Kiyoshi, and is located in Tibiriçá, a district of the municipality of Bauru, State of São Paulo (Brazil). On the property, cassava (table), tomato and two kinds of eggplant are grown: Japanese (of the short and long varieties) and hybrid (of the Angélica, Dutch and Sabeli varieties). The food produced is distributed at local farmers' markets and also sent to the CEASA of the city of São Paulo.
Highlight
A medium-sized greenhouse, with well-distributed and symmetrical beds, where food is grown with a size, color and texture that show its excellent quality, both in appearance and in flavor.
Differentiator
The differentiator lies in the eggplant varieties that are uncommon for consumption in the interior of the State of São Paulo, since practically all the production is sent to the State capital (São Paulo), where these foods are better known and, consequently, more widely consumed, since these varieties differ in flavor from the traditional eggplant.
Information
Despite being a small property, the producer seeks to invest in products that are not common for local and regional cultivation and consumption, making him one of the few farmers to produce such unique varieties of a food, as is the case of eggplant, not least because if consumers do not like the taste of traditional eggplant, they may change their food concept by trying a more tender and juicy variety that better suits their palate.
