Introduction
Estância São 3 is located on road ARV 273, in the Santa Isabel district of Arealva, São Paulo. The property is one and a half alqueires in size and practices crop rotation of fruits and vegetables, in addition to carrying out experimental cultivation of Guariroba and raising giant chickens of the Índio breed.
Highlight
A major highlight at Estância São 3 is a 100-meter strip of preserved woodland. The producer Antônio explains that the woodland is entirely wooded with trees native to the region, which draws attention on the property.
Differentiator
A proponent of crop rotation, Estância São 3 plants different kinds of vegetables in the same place: lettuce (curly, smooth and iceberg), chives, parsley, collard greens, arugula and broccoli. It also grows tomatoes (cherry and Débora varieties), dedo-de-moça pepper, pumpkin and jiló. These crops are grown by rotation, with soil control, thus making production possible without the use of pesticides.
Information
In addition to the crops already in production, Estância São 3 entered an experimental phase with the planting of Guariroba, a palm native to Brazil that yields a heart of palm widely used in the cuisine of Minas Gerais and Goiás.
