Introduction
The property has a total area of 02 ha and uses around 1.5 ha for planting the crops. It produces sweet corn and zucchini. It also raises pigs and poultry for sale, and, according to the producer, there is great demand for these items.
Highlight
The producer is also finishing construction of a greenhouse (protected cultivation), probably for planting tomatoes or cucumbers. The decision to produce under protected cultivation is directly linked to producing higher-quality products with greater productivity. The producer closely follows the guidance of an agronomist engineer.
Differentiator
The great differentiator in sweet corn production is that, in addition to using irrigation, the producer staggers planting, thus being able to have the product for a longer period, practically all year round. Regarding zucchini cultivation, the producer uses hybrid varieties that, besides quality, offer high productivity, also using irrigation.
