Introduction

The property has a total area of 10000 m², that is, 01 ha. It produces under protected cultivation (greenhouse) and in the open field, but already has the material to cover (greenhouse) the rest of its vegetable garden area, which according to the producer will be done by the start of Summer. The producer grows his own seedlings, since he gets seedlings of quality and reliability, in addition to being able to stagger his production. The producer also already plans, in the short term, to install a cold room (production preservation) and automated irrigation.

Highlight

The farmers (José and his wife) produce on an area of 1000 m² the crops of Lettuce, Chicory, Arugula, Collard Greens, Parsley and Chives. The producer does not produce organically, but uses agrochemicals minimally, always managing nutrition and irrigation well, an important factor for producing with fewer pest and disease attacks, according to the producer.

Differentiator

The producer receives monthly technical guidance from an Agronomist Eng. and closely follows all the guidance given. Even without much time in the activity (vegetable garden), he has been getting good results, because besides applying the guidance, he takes great care and diligence in his production and is always seeking new techniques to improve and increase productivity.
