The outreach project Digital Skills for Family Farming – CoDAF, in fulfillment of one of its objectives, which is to foster knowledge of and interest in seeking solutions that use informational resources for managing small rural properties, offered on May 6 the workshop “Using the Input Management Spreadsheet for Small Rural Properties”, taught by collaborator Leonardo Franchi.
The workshop took place at the School of Sciences and Engineering, UNESP, Tupã Campus, and drew a good number of people interested in the topic. The goal of the workshop, according to Franchi, was to “present to participants the importance of using spreadsheets to manage the stock of inputs on small properties, so that, in future opportunities, they can replicate this resource that is so important for management for farmers, especially those linked to family farming”.

CoDAF carries out a series of actions aimed at expanding the use of Information and Communication Technologies in rural areas, always seeking paths that make it possible to bring small producers technologies that can help them manage their properties, researching and studying new paths that make it possible to add the use of spreadsheets and other digital informational resources to traditional processes such as the famous “little notebook of notes”, adding greater efficiency and security for small producers in decision-making.
Workshops on topics related to the use of Information and Communication Technologies by and for family farming are offered every Friday, always free of charge. For more information, follow our news on the website codaf.tupa.unesp.br or contact codaf@tupa.unesp.br.
