Sharing not only content, but good practices as well

It is natural for us to watch events and television programs, or even web content, with references to remarkable actions worthy of applause. Cooking is no different: there are many recipes, cooking methods and ingredients presented.

We do not think twice about sharing these materials when we see figures such as the English chef Jamie Olivier advocate the use of healthy foods and the production of those foods, as well as improved production of processed products, so that the next generation will have fewer people suffering from a health that was left at the mercy of a poor diet.

However, after sharing this content, it does not take us long to pick up a glass of soda or a food whose production process or origin we know nothing about. We must go beyond viewing and sharing; we must challenge ourselves to dare to consume intelligently and sustainably, and to pay attention to production that does us good, such as foods that come from family farmers.

In this context there are initiatives that allow us this direct contact, such as the portal of the Digital Skills for Family Farming (CoDAF) project, which makes it possible to search for producers and their points of sale, and to follow production through their descriptions and photographic records of the property and the production.
