The National Program for the Sustainable Development of Rural Territories (Proinf) contributes to the qualification of the productive and economic processes of Family Farming in Rural Territories. In partnership with states, municipalities and civil society, Proinf makes possible the acquisition of equipment and construction for the production, processing, distribution and marketing of family farming products.
To receive these benefits, a project consistent with the guidelines of the Territorial Plans for Sustainable Rural Development (PTDRS) must be carried out. Proposals can be drawn up based on the demands of the rural population, such as organizing fairs, installing cold rooms, and creating seed and seedling production units. This year, Proinf focuses on three work objects: the marketing of products; the promotion of family farming production and storage and agroecology; and Sanitary Inspection Services. Proposals can be submitted by municipalities, public consortia and states of the federation.
The project must be submitted to Proinf by August 10, 2015.
