Many farms follow their production routine, with crops, methods and technologies, in the way their ancestors started and taught it through the many generations of the family.
At one time these methods made those producers competitive, but as the years went by and new technologies emerged, many of the methods in use caused the farm to lose efficiency compared with competitors who sought new methods for their production.
So that farmers can pursue the adoption of new technologies on their property without having to make significant withdrawals from their savings, or if they do not have the financial resources at the time of making these changes to become competitive and stay in the market, they can turn to various types of financing with benefits aimed at small farmers.
The National Development Bank (BNDES) offers specific investment lines, among which we highlight BNDES Finame Agrícola for the purchase of machinery, equipment, computer products, etc. Conditions suited to each type of financing are offered, with different interest rates, terms, etc. BNDES offers a repayment term of up to 90 months, including a maximum grace period of 1 to 2 years depending on the specifics of the investment.
