Government Program selects institutions for rural technical assistance

The Public Call for the Ater Mais Gestão Program is open until June 12, and aims to select public and private institutions that provide rural technical assistance and extension services, previously accredited in the Public Ater System (Siater).

The institutions will be contracted for a period of three years, for a total investment of R$ 208 million, benefiting 930 family farming cooperatives and associations that work on improving management and supporting the strengthening of economic organizations in the markets.

The Technical Assistance and Rural Extension - ATER - Mais Gestão program is one of the strategic axes of the National Program for Strengthening Solidarity Cooperativism and Associativism in Family Farming and Agrarian Reform (Cooperaf).

The first and last Public Call of Mais Gestão served 471 family farming enterprises, with services provided by 12 ATER institutions, between 2012 and 2015. The investment was R$ 57 million.
