Farmer's Day

July 28 is Farmer's Day, celebrating professionals who, regardless of the size of their property, do hard work worthy of celebration, since competence and dedication are required, given that thousands of people depend on this very important task. It is important to always be looking for new knowledge and technologies to improve production, adopting new cultivation and breeding techniques; the growth of the farmer also means the growth of the country.

With this in mind, in Alto Tietê, 2,000 farmers are celebrating this date. The region has great stories about development, such as hydroponic cultivation. The number of greenhouses has been growing steadily, and with them production has been growing, with the advantage that the technique withstands climate change.

At certain times of the year the products can be more expensive than conventional ones; on the other hand, when conditions are favorable the cost comes out lower than open-field production, so it can be a major investment that results in the security of stable prices all year round. One challenge to be faced is environmental issues, since staying alert to the impacts is of the utmost importance so that the farmer does not fall outside the law.

Besides the security of working with stable prices throughout the year, the technique promises great achievements and greater comfort for those who produce and for those who consume. It is worth staying alert to new technologies and practices that can benefit your business.
