Brazil is currently considered the world's largest coffee exporter, an activity that contributes considerably to the country's trade.
With the mission of representing and promoting the development of the coffee export sector, both nationally and internationally, CECAFE, the Brazilian Coffee Exporters Council, originated from the merger of two entities representing the sector: the Brazilian Coffee Exporters Association (ABACAFÉ) and the Brazilian Federation of Coffee Exporters (FEBEC).
According to CECAFE, most of Brazil's coffee is exported as a commodity, without any processing of the product. Aware of this, and of the importance of bringing small producers closer to useful information about the sector, the Digital Skills for Family Farming (CoDAF) project makes available on its portal a presentation and description of the data source on Brazilian coffee exports.
