Data on Corn Cultivation from CONAB

According to the Brazilian Association of Corn Producers, Brazil is currently in second place among corn-exporting countries worldwide.

The National Supply Company (CONAB), affiliated with the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA), with nationwide reach in agricultural management, supports the entire production cycle, from the start of cultivation to the product's arrival at the final consumer.

The Digital Skills for Family Farming (CoDAF) project, aware of the importance of a channel bringing users closer to the data sources on corn cultivation available on the internet, made available the data source "Historical series of planted area and yield of corn in Brazil's Center-West in the first and second crop seasons from 1976/1977 to 2015/2016," which aims to bring users closer to the possibility of making their decisions based on data about corn cultivation, quality data generated at CONAB.

The data source provides information about Conab's functions. Its structure covers the description of historical data, so as to describe values related to the quantities of corn planted and the yield of those areas.

To better inform readers, the data source uses graphic examples and interpretations of the data obtained.
