Loans granted in this first month of the 2013/14 harvest reached R$ 884.5 million, equivalent to 6.69% of the R$ 13.2 billion scheduled by the Agricultural and Livestock Plan. In July 2012, the National Program to Support Medium-Sized Rural Producers (Pronamp) released R$ 388.3, a disbursement that represents 3.48% of the R$ 11.5 billion allocated to the program.
“This result represents a 127.7% increase in operating and investment financing compared to July of last year and reflects the 4.5% reduction in the interest rate under this year's PAP”, said the Secretary of Agricultural Policy of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Mapa), Neri Geller.
