A São Paulo company intends to launch this year an app called Agra, which is like Waze, but for agriculture. Waze is an app that lets drivers choose the best routes and thus gain benefits, such as, for example, saving fuel and time.
According to Maikon Schiess, the idea is for farmers to be able to share various information, about pests, among other subjects. The Agra app also has the function of systematizing the immense amount of information on meteorology, market forecasts and production costs already available on the internet, making it possible to generate personalized information for farmers for each region.
The app is not yet available for download, but is expected to be launched in the second half of this year.
