The 22nd International Fair of Agricultural Technology in Action – Agrishow took place from April 27 to May 1 in the city of Ribeirão Preto – SP, bringing together many companies in the agribusiness sector. The event aims to have companies in the sector come together to show farmers the technologies for agricultural production currently available on the market.
It is the largest agricultural technology fair in Latin America and one of the largest in the world, as it covers various sectors within agribusiness such as Precision Agriculture, Family Farming, Agricultural Implements and Machinery, among many other items important to the sector. In this context, members of the outreach project Digital Skills for Family Farming (CoDAF) visited the fair to identify which new technologies are being offered on the market for family farmers. Among the members who visited the fair are: Anderson de Lima, Beatriz Bisi, Daniel Lamarca, Felipe Fontanari, Juliana Bernardes and Pedro Bisi.
The event shows its great importance through the results obtained in past editions. The 2014 edition had about 160,000 visitors from 71 different countries, generated around R$ 2.7 billion in business started at the fair, and featured 800 brands on display.
