The book titled "Bringing small producers closer to data access and use: building bridges between their needs and ICT", with ISBN registration: 978-85-67703-06-0, brings together the papers presented at the VI Digital Skills for Family Farming Meeting (V e-CoDAF).
The studies published in this digital book mainly address three strands, the first of which deals with the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) as a resource for processing data and information relevant to small and medium-sized producers, emphasizing the possibilities of innovating in techniques and processes.
The second thematic strand running through the results published in this book relates to aspects linked to the field of Management, focusing on the information flows of agricultural activity, such as administrative and accounting practices, studies on information behavior, and on data and information sources for decision-making.
The third strand covering the studies published in the book refers to the application of concepts and methods from Information Science, Library Science and Archival Science, such as, for example, analyses of information environments and bibliometric studies.
The rich thematic diversity addressed at the event brought possibilities for reflection and opened paths for new research that seeks to contribute to the socioeconomic development of small producers.
