Two apps designed to make rural activities easier were launched by Gerdau. Available free of charge on the Android and iOS platforms, the Fence Calculation and Product Catalogs apps have tools that make it possible to calculate the exact amount of materials needed to build a fence and facilities.
Based on the length and measurements of the land, the Fence Calculation app shows which of the brand's products, and how many, the producer will need to build the fence; it also provides solutions for fence maintenance, indicating products and handling for it. And the Product Catalogs app was launched so that consumers can get their questions answered about segments of the construction industry, as well as providing techniques for using tools.
Informative apps with solutions are expanding in order to achieve environmental, personal and social solutions through information technology. This is one more indication of the possibility of applications like this in the context of family farming, which, by providing information on crop and livestock management and techniques, and on financial management and inputs, can have a direct impact on this important segment of our rural sector.
