The 22nd International Fair of Agricultural Technology in Action, Agrishow 2015, presents in this edition technologies that small farmers can afford. Precision agriculture, which consists of minimizing inputs per area through the individual treatment of each area, was possible only through expensive technologies, which made it a reality exclusive to large producers.
However, this year's fair features the stand of a cooperative that presents precision agriculture technology accessible to small farmers: a system that monitors and plans what is happening in the field area at a lower cost than the other existing systems, which makes it possible for small producers to acquire it.
With this new accessibility for small farmers, there is less waste of inputs, seeds, irrigation and other variables, resulting in better productivity and, in the end, higher income. This context makes it possible to observe the adaptation of high technologies for small farmers, since this process tends to make rural production in general grow.
