3rd Data, Information and Technology Study Cycle (CEDIT)

The 3rd Data, Information and Technology Study Cycle (CEDIT) took place on July 8, 2017, in the auditorium of the School of Sciences and Engineering (UNESP/Tupã), and featured presentations on topics related to the use of information technologies to access data in various contexts.

The presentation by Prof. M.S. Elizabete Monteiro (UNESP/Marília), titled "Intellectual property in the academic and professional context," highlighted the importance of patents and the registration of works as a way to preserve and cite the rights of authors over their intellectual creations.

Next, Business Administration student Leonardo Franchi (UNESP/Tupã) demonstrated aspects of using Web resources to build data visualizations, in the talk titled "Technologies for data visualization."

Prof. Renata Pinheiro (ETEC/Marília) presented a proposal for a workshop on management practices for small rural properties using information resources, titled "Business modeling with Design Thinking and Canvas."

The fourth presentation of the meeting, given by master's student Victor Borba (UNESP/Marília), brought options for "Mobile devices in agriculture," showcasing apps that can be used in agricultural practices.

The event was concluded with the talk by Prof. M.S. Maria Laura Foradori (Universidad Nacional de Córdoba/Argentina), titled "Recuperación de datos sobre educación ambiental en los portales oficiales de gobierno de los países de América del Sur," which compared how data on environmental education are made available on government portals in countries such as Argentina and Brazil.

The next edition of the event is scheduled for September and is open to the entire academic community at no cost, with the aim of sharing knowledge among professors and undergraduate and graduate students.
