The Center for Advanced Studies in Applied Economics (CEPEA) is part of the Department of Economics, Administration and Sociology (DEAS) of ESALQ/USP, created by professors with the aim of meeting demands for research and information in the areas of economics, administration and social sciences. The link with ESALQ allows CEPEA to emphasize issues associated with the economic sectors that have a direct and indirect link with agribusiness, producing indicators on the prices of products, inputs and services.
Information about the origin of the data
On the CEPEA website one can find data on daily product prices (Sugar, Cotton, Rice, Calf, Cattle, Coffee, Citrus, Ethanol, Chicken, Eggs, Fruits and Vegetables, Milk, Cassava, Corn, Soybean, Hog, Wheat); agricultural export indexes; data on the GDP of Brazilian Agribusiness; data on the GDP of Agricultural Chains; data on the agricultural GDP of the states of São Paulo and Minas Gerais; data on Forest and Social Economy; international market indexes. On this site it is also possible to access, via the “fruits and vegetables” tab, the HF Brasil website, which is part of CEPEA and brings together researchers dedicated to the economic aspects of the fruit and vegetable sectors. On the HF Brasil site one can access content such as: database, videos, magazine, region, management, marketing, radar, about us and contact.

In the query area, data on average prices of Fruits and Vegetables can be accessed, choosing from the following crops: Banana, Potato, Onion, Carrot, Citrus, Leafy greens, Apple, Papaya, Mango, Watermelon, Melon, Tomato and Grape, choosing the region, period and periodicity of the data. It is possible to download the database in “Microsoft Excel (XLS)” format after performing the query.
