The Institute of Agricultural Economics – IEA is a component of the São Paulo Agribusiness Technology Agency – APTA, a body linked to the Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply of the State of São Paulo. IEA was one of the first institutions to take up studies on agricultural economics in Brazil, carrying out research and analyses, and disseminating knowledge and information about agriculture to society.
IEA conducts statistical studies of prices, production area, forest markets, wages, among others, carried out in partnership with the Integral Technical Assistance Coordinating Office (CATI), constituted as sources for public and private management. The collection of statistical data can contribute to institutions, wholesalers, retailers and producers.
